Last updated: 7 June 2026
This policy explains how the Performance Intelligence Weekly Briefing handles your personal data. It reflects the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the UK and EU GDPR, and comparable privacy laws. Please have it reviewed by your own legal adviser before relying on it commercially.

1. Who we are

This service (the "Briefing") is operated by Jez Cartwright Inc, which is the controller / business responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at:

Jez Cartwright Inc

San Francisco, CA 94105
USA

2. What we collect

3. How and why we use it

4. Our legal bases (UK/EU users)

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not "sell" or "share" it as those terms are defined under California law. We share it only with the service providers that run the Briefing on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:

6. Where your data is stored, and international transfers

Your data is held in Google's cloud infrastructure. We have selected a European storage region for stored content. Because we operate from the United States and serve subscribers internationally, your data may be processed in the US and other countries. Where data crosses borders, our providers rely on recognised safeguards (including data processing agreements and standard contractual clauses).

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Messages and video messages are retained so that you and we can refer back to them. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, messages and videos, except anything we must keep by law. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or by emailing us.

8. Your rights

If you are in California: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, to request correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

If you are in the UK or EU: under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to withdraw consent. You may complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk).

Everyone: to exercise any right, email jc@jezcartwright.com and we will respond within the time required by your local law.

9. Cookies and local storage

We use only the storage necessary to sign you in and keep the app working. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Children

The Briefing is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date above when we do.
